By developing a method for measuring results and effects, IWT wants to develop and test a methodology that allows the results and effects of the implementation of the Competence Centres (CCs), Technology Transfer (TETRA) and Collective Research (CR) programme to be measured and monitored.

It want to do this in the first place for the programme implementers themselves, to be able to monitor their activities more effectively, but also for IWT itself, to be able to assess the added value of its programmes and adapt them where and when necessary.

The aim of this study is therefore to develop a generic set of parameters to record the relevant results and effects of the various types of above-mentioned programmes. Initially the focus will be on the CC programme, but sufficient attention will also be paid to the TETRA and CR programmes. While developing the methodology, the emphasis has been on the development process and the support provided during this process. Finally, this study forms part of a larger set of studies and initiatives aimed at systematically monitoring and evaluating IWT support instruments.
